- FEBRUARY DINNER MEETING -
Join us for our next SME Tucson Dinner Meeting! Make sure to select your meal when making your reservation. Reservation deadline is Friday, February 7th.
Program:
The KSM complex is a district of giant porphyry deposits Located in British Columbia, Canada, and is the world's largest permitted greenfield open pit copper/gold project. The KSM gold resource inventory is similar to all of Newmont’s combined resources and the KSM copper resource is almost double the inventory at Morenci.
Seabridge Gold, the 100% owner of KSM, has advanced the project through a number of pre-feasibility studies and has prepared the project to be advanced to feasibility study with a Tier 1 mining company in a joint venture partnership. Seabridge has also invested in pioneering the project with initial access roads, camps, fish habitat offsets and powerline infrastructure and has spent over C$1.2 billion in developing the project.
This presentation will provide an overview of the KSM project covering geology, mine planning, metallurgy, processing, tailings storage, infrastructure, environment, social license, expansion opportunities, early works construction, and decarbonization strategy.
